This is from the last page of the "A Christmas Carol" souvenir program written by our Frank. Here it is: It is customary in this space for an actor to list his many accomplishments. Appropriate as that may be, I've decided to forgo the ego boost this time and write something in keeping with the nature of this event and with the Christmas season. This 'Christmas Carol' certainly means to entartain and delight you and to bring your children a magical theatrical experience they will always remember. It is Scrooge's story - a simple theme - that it's never too late to change. But its deeper message is the one I hope you'll take way with you. That we understand a society is doomed if it does not nurture and guard the innocence and purity of its children, protect their mental health and see to their physical nourishment. That is as pertinent today as it was when Dickens wrote it. Look at the children all around you in the audience of this performance and watch the joy and wonder in their eyes as this story unfolds and imagine what it would be like if there were no such creatures in our lives. The blessings we receive when we devote ourselves to the well being of the little ones in our charge are from God and we must not break his trust. Hold these precious children close to you for all the days and nights they need you. In the end Scrooge is saved and he utters these words: "God forgive me for the time I've wasted." Don't waste any time in your own lives. Let every moment of this beautiful story lead you to the most immortal line in 'A Christmas Carol' - "God bless us, everyone!" Frank Langella
